Color Me Beautiful!

If you love to stand out, dare to make a statement, or live to be a trendsetter, then as a bride you just may want to wear a bit of color on your special day!

The new trend in the bridal industry is color. Even the local News and Observer is saying just that. An article featured last month in the Life section states that "the colored wedding dress has arrived" making "the dress the star" and of course the bride who wears it!

The colors are nothing too, too crazy. Think mostly pale pinks, grays, and golds. One of my favorite dresses at Maggi Bridal is a stunning trumpet style gown in what Alfred Angelo calls "oyster." The color is this brillaint blushy pink with gray and nude undertones. It stands out, but doesn't scream color, perfect for a bride who dares to be different in an understated way.

Haute couture designers are taking color and making it their own in brilliant displays in a calidescope of colors and some are even using prints for the bravest of brides! But it isn't only the high end designers who are playing with color. Maggi Bridal is emerging into the trend with our budget-friendly designer, Alfred Angelo. The Dream In Color collection features dresses with colored accents in any one of the 55 color choices offered. Every bride looking for a pop of color is sure to find a color that suits her.

So let's get away from strictly white and ivory or subtle variations of the two and change into something colorful!

First Official Post!

Last week I was in Blowing Rock, NC for a short vacay. I just love the mountains and apparently I'm not alone in my love for North Carolina's mountain range. While I was staying in the lovely Crestwood Inn I read the publication High Country Wedding Guide: The Bridal Story Issue and saw that many brides choose the mountains as the setting for their special day. The inn I stayed in was actually one of the countless locations featured as a venue for weddings. In the 2011 issue, no one veune was more popular over another, but the favorite photographer among the brides featured seemed to be Katie Langley and the favorite florist was Bless Your Heart.

I don't know about you, but I plan to get married in North Carolina's mountains (whenever that is :)! So if you are a bride that enjoys the outdoors and would love a breathtaking view as a backdrop, why not plan your wedding in the High Country? Just make sure to stop by Maggi Bridal in Raleigh, NC for all your bridal needs!
